About Christopher Earnest

I’m a music educator and performer with a passion for helping others grow through music. I teach private lessons in piano and a variety of brass instruments, specializing in classical development while also offering instruction in contemporary and jazz styles.

I’m a two-time TMEA All-State Trombonist, first-chair bass trombonist in the TMEA All-State Jazz Ensemble, and a proud recipient of the John Philip Sousa Band Award.

My formal training comes from the Music Education Department at Bob Jones University and the Texas Tech University School of Music, where I developed a strong foundation in both performance and teaching.

I’ve had the honor of performing at Chicago Symphony Orchestra Hall with the Bob Jones University Symphony Orchestra for the debut of Dan Forrest’s Jubilate Deo, as well as Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. I’ve also enjoyed performing with community groups such as the Fremont Community Orchestra, the Lubbock Community Band, and the Fountain Inn Community Orchestra.

Beyond performing, I’m passionate about teaching and sharing the joy of music with others. Over the years, I’ve continued to work with students of all ages, helping them develop not just technical skill, but also a deep appreciation for the art and expression that music brings.
